Online Ticketing and Reserved Entry Time

Reservations are strongly recommended, with the exception of qualified Museums for All visitors. Walk-in admission is not guaranteed on high-volume days. The Garden does not process cash transactions.

Ticket times indicate a window to enter the Garden. Guests are free to remain until closing time.

Check in with your mobile or printed ticket at the welcome center.  You may leave and return in the same day. Simply let our Visitor Services team know at the welcome center and get a stamp to show for re-entry upon your return.

Members receive free admission. Please make your member reservation and have your membership card and ID ready to show at the welcome center.

Please note: The Garden is open six days a week; closed on Tuesdays.

Through the Museums for All program, visitors who receive food assistance can gain reduced admission to SDBG. The Museums for All rate of $1 per person will apply to any bearer of a state-issued SNAP EBT card or Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) card with valid photo ID. Advance online reservations are not necessary for Museums for All tickets. Admission must be purchased in person at the Garden on the day of entry by presenting a SNAP EBT or WIC card and ID. The rate of $1 is applicable for daytime admission only and will apply to a maximum of four individuals. Please be prepared to pay credit or debit cards. The Garden does not process cash transactions.

Donation Requests

San Diego Botanic Garden seeks to connect with the community and support local non-profits in San Diego County by providing four admission passes (up to $72 value) for annual fundraisers. Requests must be submitted 60 days before your event. Only requests submitted online are accepted. SDBG honors one request per organization per year. Please submit your completed form to Ticket Donation Request via Contact Us. We review donation requests on a monthly basis.

Classes & Public Event Tickets

Special tickets are required to attend classes, public events, many tours, and other unique activities. These events and classes may have special pricing, special hours, and/or other special requirements.
