Join Dr. Ori Fragman-Sapir, Scientific Director of the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens, for a fascinating journey through the deserts of the Middle East. Explore the remarkable flora found in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and the UAE, discover how plants adapt and survive in extreme environments, and learn about vital conservation efforts protecting these unique ecosystems.

This special lecture will be held in the Dickinson Family Education Conservatory. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided at the start of the program (outside food and drink are not permitted).

About Dr. Ori Fragman-Sapir

Dr. Ori Fragman-Sapir is a leading expert on the floras of the Mediterranean and West Asia, with special expertise in wild progenitors of cultivated plants, geophytes, plant conservation, and sustainable horticulture. He regularly leads professional botanical excursions throughout Israel, the Mediterranean, and the Caucasus, and is also a licensed tour guide and a professional botanical photographer.
