Savage Gardens

July 1 – October 29

Explore the bizarre and captivating world of carnivorous plants with this fascinating exhibition. In addition to a collection of real carnivorous species on display, our Conservatory now has more hidden bug eaters decorated amongst our bog to get in the holiday spirit.

Fall Festival

October 12 – November

Fall is in the air! Enjoy our seasonal display of pumpkins in Hamilton Children’s Garden from October 12 through November. We’ll have a special Fall Festival Family Day on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Bring the whole family to create fun fall crafts, dance to the music of Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters and more!

Lightscape

November 17 – January 1

Another dazzling year of Lightscape is just around the corner! Featuring exciting new installations along with returning fan favorites, this one-mile loop has been reimagined for the 2023 season. Merging nature and art, the Garden will come to life at night with festive sights and sounds for all to enjoy.

9th Annual Teacher Resource Fair


Calling all teachers grades K-12! Enjoy an afternoon of collaboration with San Diego’s unique agricultural community on Tuesday, October 10 from 4 – 6:30 p.m. Gather resources to use in your indoor and outdoor classrooms, while connecting with agricultural  experts and fellow teachers. In addition to materials from San Diego Botanic Garden and San Diego Ag in the Classroom, we’ll be featuring 40 other organizations and their resources. From food production to trendy houseplants, to the oddities of nature, San Diego’s expansive agricultural industry is one of the largest in the nation.
