Saturday, October 17, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
Grow your own herbs, vegetables, and flowers, even on a balcony or patio!

Container gardening is an affordable and accessible solution to gardening in small spaces. By planting in raised beds, you can prevent back strain from gardening at ground level. Plus, container gardening with potting mix can help you grow healthy plants that would otherwise struggle in San Diego native soil.
Join Senior Environmental Educator from Solana Center for Environmental Innovation, Jennifer Galey, and learn all about:
• Which plants will flourish in container growing conditions
• How to select the right container and potting mix recipes for different plant types
• Best methods for irrigation, water, and incorporating compost and worm castings for healthy living soil
Pricing
Members: $29; Non-members: $39 (includes daytime Garden admission and worm castings to take home)
(Log in for Member pricing. Price will change after adding to cart.)
