Admission & Entry Information

Our Dickinson Family Education Conservatory will be closed for the Orchids in the Wild exhibit installation from 4/23 – 5/1. We apologize for any inconvenience!

We look forward to welcoming you to the San Diego Botanic Garden! To streamline your visit, we recommend reserving tickets online—just show your mobile or printed ticket at the Welcome Center for quick entry. Ticket times indicate your estimated arrival window; once inside, you’re welcome to stay until closing. Same-day re-entry is available with a stamp from the Welcome Center.

Walk-in admission is available, though wait times may occur during peak periods such as weekends and holidays. Please note the Garden is cashless and does not accept cash.

Members receive free admission. Please have your membership card and ID ready. Member Guest Tickets, AHS reciprocal members, and Museums for All admissions are available in person only at the Welcome Center; reservations are not required.

Please note: The Garden is closed on Tuesdays.

Hours: 9 a.m. – 5 pm. (last ticket entry at 4 p.m. for walkups)

Closed Tuesdays

Open most holidays. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Specials

Through the Museums for All program, visitors who receive food assistance can gain reduced admission to SDBG. The Museums for All rate of $1 per person will apply to any bearer of a state-issued SNAP EBT card or Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) card with valid photo ID. Advance online reservations are not necessary for Museums for All tickets. Admission must be purchased in person at the Garden on the day of entry by presenting a SNAP EBT or WIC card and ID. The rate of $1 is applicable for daytime admission only and will apply to a maximum of four individuals. Please be prepared to pay credit or debit cards. The Garden does not process cash transactions.

 

 

 

Donation Requests

The donation request process is currently on pause. Previous requests will be honored if they meet the requirements laid out in the application. Thank you for your understanding! 

Classes & Public Event Tickets

Special tickets are required to attend classes, public events, many tours, and other unique activities. These events and classes may have special pricing, special hours, and/or other special requirements.
