Saturday, Jan. 25, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Learn how to grow your own food garden!

You can grow a lot of food in small spaces, and we’ll teach you how!

During this workshop you’ll participate in hands-on activities, including:

  • Planting your own organic seedlings
  • Preserving food to reduce waste
  • Crafting simple, tasty recipes using fresh bounty from the garden
  • Touring the Incredible Edibles food garden at San Diego Botanic Garden

You will take home: organic seedlings, organic seed packets, garden tools, a local garden resource and planting guide, tricks of the trade for a zero-waste kitchen, and information about how to help end hunger in our community with the Homegrown Hunger Relief program.

In an effort to end hunger in our community, we are teaching community members to grow their own fresh food. This workshop is taught by Mim Michelove of Healthy Day Partners and funded through the USBG and APGA. Class format is in-person, indoors and outdoors.

Cost: Free with $10 deposit. Full deposit refunded upon attendance. If you do not attend, the deposit will not be refunded. Fee includes all materials and garden admission.

Please register by Jan. 24. This class sells out quickly so we recommend reserving your spot as soon as possible!
