Teacher Resource Fair - Tuesday, 10/10

Calling all teachers grades K-12! Enjoy an afternoon of collaboration with San Diego’s unique agricultural community on Tuesday, October 10 from 4 – 6:30 p.m. Gather resources to use in your indoor and outdoor classrooms, while connecting with agricultural  experts and fellow teachers. In addition to materials from San Diego Botanic Garden and San Diego Ag in the Classroom, we’ll be featuring 40 other organizations and their resources. From food production to trendy houseplants, to the oddities of nature (displayed in SDBG’s Savage Gardens exhibition), San Diego’s expansive agricultural industry is one of the largest in the nation. Meet representatives from every step of production, including seedling producers, soil specialists, and Department of Agriculture inspectors, all of which want to provide educators with the plethora of local resources available to show their students just how important agriculture is.

All educators grades K-12 are welcome to this free event that will help you stock up on science, nature, agriculture and other STEM teaching materials. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered. Opportunity drawing will be held at 6 p.m.
