Members Only Morning - San Diego Botanic Garden

Saturday, October 12, 8 – 10 a.m.

Enjoy a fun-filled morning of exploration in nature at our inaugural Members-Only Morning! During this open-house style event, Members will get exclusive access to the Garden from 8 to 10 a.m. for free yoga classes, behind-the-scenes tours with staff, crafting in Hamilton Children’s Garden, complimentary drip coffee from our Cork Oak coffee cart, and more!

Registration is encouraged, please bring your Member Card(s) and Photo ID(s) for access. Sign-up sheets for tours and activities will be available day-of and on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope you can join us!

Open Air Yoga

8:15 and 9 a.m.

If you’ve ever wanted to try one of our monthly yoga classes, now is your chance! Bring your yoga mat and enjoy a rejuvenating outdoor yoga flow. Surrounded by nature, you will leave feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

Tours

Conservation in Action, 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. – Learn how our Science & Conservation team collects, prepares, cleans, and harvests seeds with a behind-the-scenes tour of our on-site lab.
Discover the Desert Garden, 8:45. – 9:30 a.m. – The newly paved accessible path and garden area was recently revitalized to feature plants from the deserts of the world. Our Horticulture team will share how this new garden collection came about – from behind the scenes propagation to planting.
SDBG Nature and Science, 9:00 a.m. – Join a visual “seated tour” to learn more about activities and special programs taking place around the Garden.
SDBG Now and Then, 9:15 – 9:45 a.m. – Learn about the Garden’s rich history and how it has evolved into an important conservation and education space for communities both on and off-site.

Hamilton Children’s Garden Extravaganza

Ongoing from 8 – 10 a.m.

Members of all ages are invited to swing into Toni’s Tree House and hang at Hamilton Children’s Garden for some morning arts and crafts, button making and story time. Enjoy a morning of play and creativity with your early birds!
