Saturday May 10, 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Find out which orchids are easy to grow outdoors and how to maintain them throughout the year!

Southern California has a unique climate that could allow you to grow orchids in your own backyard. By learning some key points about orchids, your outdoor orchid plants can grow, bloom, and thrive.

Join Alex Nadzan, co-president of the Palomar Orchid Society and active member of the San Diego County Orchid Society, as he shares how he grows his many orchids in the Oceanside area. With over 30 years of experience in growing and hybridizing orchids, Alex will try to answer any of your orchid-related questions. He will also demonstrate repotting, so you’ll learn how to repot orchids successfully.

You will learn:

  • What types of orchids can grow outdoors here.
  • How to make orchids thrive and bloom outdoors.
  • How to repot an orchid, and when to repot an orchid.

Class fee includes: class instruction and World of Orchid Combo Ticket (valued at $25) which includes full garden admission.
