Gathering of Tribes and Conservation Organizations

February 10, 2025 – Pala Administration Building

February 11, 2025 – San Diego Botanic Garden

Join us for an impactful gathering centered on connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. Held February 10 – 11, the Gathering of Tribes and Conservation Organizations is a collaborative event co-hosted by Botanic Gardens Conservation International, Flower Hill Institute, Pala Band of Mission Indians, San Diego Botanic Garden, Southern California Tribal Chairman’s Association, United States Botanic Garden.

Focused on strengthening the Indigenous native plant network and connectivity across Southern California and North America, the gathering will offer opportunities to collaborate on ongoing and emerging plant conservation efforts while exploring innovative ways Indigenous and non-Indigenous partners can work together to protect and promote biodiverse plants. Through open dialogue, participants will also identify funding opportunities and establish strategies for collaborations and community development, ensuring a future where native plants thrive and cultural knowledge flourishes.

This event is by invitation only and spacing is limited. If you are unable to attend and/or would like to suggest another delegate from your organization, please contact us at kcantwell@sdbgarden.org.
